    Light Up Drawing Desks

Here is some great old school stuff, I actually had a Disney one (still have it somewhere) and it bears the marks from when I ran out of paper and drew on the desk itself. I didn't say I was a smart kid...

DVD Winners: Thanks for the entheusiastic response to my 70s Toy Explosion Trivia Contest, the two winners drawn who correctly stated the answer was Captain lazer (although I accepted Major Matt Mason as well) are Chris Franklin and

I definitely would've enjoyed myself with the Mickey Mouse desk

I had the Mickey Mouse desk. It might even still be in my Mom's attic, I'll have to go look. It was very sad and disappointing that even when tracing, I still could not make a nice picture.

I had a Disney one of these too. But as I got more into drawing, I started to consider tracing to be "cheating", so I gave the desk to my sister.

I didn't have any of those, but I did get this one for Christmas back in the day:

The drawing desk itself is inside the box. I have shown the sleeve the tracing sheets came in. They are in it with some of the drawings I did back then. I can remember spending many hours playing with that toy.

Man, I wish they had those now!

The superhero one is cool, but I see that even Lakesides had no love for Aquaman.
                      It's all good!

I have that DC one now. In fact, my kids gave it to me for my birthday last year.

I somehow missed out on these as a kid. My mom must have overlooked them, since she always encouraged my art skills.
