    Scooby Doo Record Player

How cool is this? Although it does kind of look like Fred is forcing the others to dance for his amusement. Fred was real ******* according to Velma's autobiography...

Velma looks like she's dancing an Irish jig. I would have gone for this as a kid.

That really does rock! But poor Fred is over by the Mystery Machine singing like Phil Collins, "I Can't Dance".

                    Solid State mean it's transistorized.
Solid-state gets its name from the path that electrical signals take through solid pieces of semi-conductor material. Prior to the use of solid-state devices electricity passed through the various elements inside of a heated vacuum tube. Solid-state devices, such as a transistor, use conductors to control the flow of signals through a circuit.

Lots of things had "Solid-State" prominently emblazoned on them back when transistors became the new technology. This might just be one of those items (as well as the ones you are thinking of). I don't think it was a brand name.
