The way I understand it, just about all or at least MOST black cards were only released in Canada... and very little or none in the United States.

As you know, the black cards reissued some of the figures in the middle of the run and went on to finishing up the entire series to the end.

In Canada they were pretty common - considering there wasn't much demand for them anymore.

We, American's, seen none of this.

Most of us didn't even know about the final series (or black card mid-series reissues) until we started collecting years later.

Many US sellers only told us half a story -- "they are very rare" .... they didn't tell us they're only rare in the US.

American LJN WWF collector/sellers were truly *******s back then... and Lee's was loaded with them.

Black cards were available in the USA but they were pretty rare.I remember seeing them in Toys r us one day,as we were leaving I see this huge wall filled to the top,I was going crazy!! but my mom was in a hurry and she's like let's go now!! All i could grab was the AX and Million $ man and my brother grabbed AX and Honky Tonk man.The white shirt Hogan was at the top

The most expensive loose ones are
        Warrior $50-$100
        Rude $35-$50
        Haku $45-$65
        Slaughter $75-$125
        Bossman $40-$50
        Andre Black Strap $40-$60

It sucks cause if you look at the back of the black cards, some that were meant to be released but never did were
        the Bushwackers
        Bad news brown
        Power of pain team
        Brother love

I remember turning a white trunks martel into the warrior cause I could never find one in the store. The Hitman was my fav he took hogans belt the first match they had and kept it until my little brother lost it in the backyard some time in the late 90's...LOL
It's funny this post just came up because I have been seeing these dudes for sale everywhere I go now.Mostly going around $10 each no belts.

heck yeah now this line i know about.
Very few figures actually made it to retail in the black carded series. the holy grail series.
It was mostly available through mail order in wwf magazine. Also the later ones were much cheaper than the first series. In the later lines they used more paint than actual colored rubber. One man gang is tough to find cause the paint just seemed to jump off him. I loved these figures growing up as you could beat the snot out of them. and since the first release or friendly hogan as he is also called is so pathetic i used to pummel that figure. I still need a Warlord and a Haku but i have the rest and i need a couple bendies still, andre, beefcake, and someone else i forget who now.

One of my coolest LJN customs (if I do sayso myself) ... was turning a white shirt Hogan into a blue Hogan.

I got 2 white shirt Hogan's crazy cheap through the mail.
This lady from Canada sold me both for $7.00

I wound up selling my custom years later for $65.00
                            That was a nice turnaround.

Remember that Sgt Slaughter was not a LJN .... He was a mailaway G.i.Joe made by Hasbro That is made for use with the LJN line. He is also slightly smaller than the rest. about a 1/4 inch difference.
