They're not all that rare.

The seller needs to get the word Mego out of his title ... Somebody is going to bid on that thinking it was made by Mego -- and then the trouble begins

I've seen them before. They make at least one other character, too.
That is overpriced as well.

I've seen a couple before. I think they're pretty cool. $25 for something apes related from 1960's doesn't seem that high to me, but I'll take members words for it.

They are pretty cool, but not in huge demand. I've seen boxed examples sell for not too much money.

I have him and I really like him -- but wait for a boxed one to come along. That one is not in the best condition.

It's not from the 60's. Almost everything Ape-related has a 1967 copyright date on it. They came out in the mid 70's and are always on ebay boxed. I've seen a guy couldnt even get $20 for boxed ones before. I believe the other one is Galen.

Very true.

Even the Planet of the Apes Topps gum card series (based on the TV series) is dated 1967.

I specifically remember that 1967 date causing many problems in the early 80's when the Apes collecting boom started.
