1970's land of the lost custom 3d pic (glasses needed)

Not exactly on topic, but I figured if anyone would appreciate this, it would be here.

I did this on the fly/rough with one of the pictures from the website landofthelost.com
I converted it over to 3d. A bit rough with the tracing but you get the idea--enjoy

You need the red/blue glasses and stand/sit about 2-3 feet back from the screen

    BLUE LENS OVER LEFT EYE

That is pretty cool. Is there a specific program that you use?
    It's all good!

I just so happen to have a pair of 3D glasses that I got out of a box of Fruity Pebbles last year. Awesome pic! And it's red lens over left eye.

Dynamite Magazine used to include them with their 3-D posters.

"Six Million Dollar Man" was on the cover, if that helps.

                      re

                      Glad you enjoyed the picture

and yes blue lens over left eye or my picture will not work.

there is no true 3d standard (though left red eye is assumed). I was getting the effect I needed by going blue over left, so this is how I designed the picture

                      UnderdogDJLSW,
I used a combination of adobe photoshop and stereophotomaker (which is free) and can be found here

                      http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/stphmkr/index.html

Although some programs do a good job of doing 2d to 3d, the problem is that they relate almost all of the picture to the 3d itself. I did something that made more sense, though more work. I look at a photo and decide what I want in the background, what I want to show some depth and what I want to have a pop effect (or both). I use photoshop (magnetic tool) and trace the parts of the photo I want in 3d. I paste these onto a new picture with a white background. I then input this in the stereophoto maker app and give it the pop or depth that I want. I save that image. I take it back in photoshop and retrace it without the white border. I then paste it back onto the 2d original picture and save. Now you have an image that has normal 2d with 3d being applied to only certain parts of the image. I found this method to really give you a true 3d image from a 2d pic.

I made another 3d pic for you and for those that do not know, I used this same method and converted over two video clips from famous films into true 3d (this being king kong 1933 and evil dead). I made this post over in the monster section of this board

in the meantime, here is another I just whipped up for you. I had to make this one black/white because there was so many greens that it was hard to look at in 3d and slightly interfered with the effect. Converting this into black/white fixed that issue. I found this picture online (but the 3d part is my work)
