    The 1981 Duncan Yo-Yo Catalog

Most people know Duncan from their Yo-Yo products which they still sell to this day but their 1981 catalog shows a company branching out into different things, mostly toy vehicles (such as 70s style vans) but also licensed items like the Batmobile.

The Duncan Batmobile is a high point for the Futura Batmobile. LKF (little known fact) the CA Batman and Robin fit in there with very little modification.

Sweet, I'd kinda forgotten about the Duncan vehicles. Never had the Batman stuff but I do believe I had that blue Van with the funky lighting bolt design on the side.

I haven't heard of Duncan, but I like the look of that Batboat and Batmobile.

Never knew Duncan branched out like that. Nice looking Bat-vehicles!

My older brother and I had a collection of the various Duncan Yo-yos; the Butterfly, Imperial, light-ups, and Glow In the Darks. But I never knew about the vehicles. Pretty cool!

I still have my Batmobile, although it's not in the best of shape. I wouldn't mind owning a mint one with a Batboat.

Carded examples get pricey in a hurry, but nice condition loose Duncan Batmobiles go for 10 to 20...Batboats start around 15 usually. The trailer is nigh impossible to find loose.

I had the Duncan Batmobile as a kid. It got a lot of play! I remember having it for a long time, but eventually it split in half along the sides. I picked another up at some point, although it's beat-up a bit and missing the Batman figure. Oddly enough, it's marked "Simms Inc." but it is the same mold and design as the Duncan mobile.

About 10 years ago I was at an antique mall, and they had a boxed "Duncanmobile" that was this Batmobile with no Batman markings (although the figures were still clearly Batman and Robin cast in white). I still kick myself for not getting it, but I recall the price on it being pretty high. I guess Duncan liquidated some existing stock after they lost the license?

                        Edited to add:

Oh, and I almost forgot; I have that Superman motion yo-yo. It changes from a pic of Supes to one of Clark Kent at his typewriter (how quaint). It's marked 1978, so some of these stayed around for a while. I also have a non-motion Batman yo-yo like the one shown, with Batman solo on one side and Batman and Robin on the other.
