Thanks for the feedback guys, Goldorak is an annoying one to find since it usually only turns up on ebay France or Italy, that one came from gay paris :-) The most underated in terms of "difficult to find" of the regular crew is definitely a high grade boxed Daimos. Rodan isn't a slouch either :-)

The Armed Forces outfits look to be pretty high quaity, I don't know a lot about them to be honest, there are some guys who specialise in this area on the boards so they might speak up.

The Superman badge was a premium for the Australian Sunday Mail newspaper Comics Club, actually I'm not certain whether it was from Adelaide or Brisbane, but it is early 40's. I just had a look in my Hake's Character Toys (6th Edition) and remarkably it is there with a photo incuded (page 942), gives some big values that luckily I didn't pay

    Cheers!

Goldorak was sold in Quebec as well, I saw one at a flea market a few years back, my wife pointed him out. I passed and really regret that, he's freaking impossible!

Ouch! Nothing compounds missing a toy like having your wife say "I told you so" for years to come either

I didn't know that about Quebec, that explains why you do very rarely see them show up in North America being sold by obvious "non-collectors", interesting.

The hardest of all the Mattel Shoguns is probably the German Hybrid Mazinga Z, it's a combination between Mazinga/er and Goldorak, I think I've got a pic, will add shortly...

          Here 'tis:

You can find some obscenely neat European only toys in Quebec because of the French Language market importing the series and merchandise to that market from France. Here is some of the stuff I've found at flea markets and toy shows:

12" Captain Harlock dolls on G.I. Joe bodies
9" Super Joe Goldorak body pilot figures (I have one still)
            Goldorak Vinyls
            Ulysesses 31 merchandise

Very interesting, I didn't know that stuff like this got released in Quebec. Someday I gotta take a trip there (I've never been) and hit some flea markets.

And Will, that German hybrid is really cool. I've never seen that one before.

Will, you are killing me with these pics. Great stuff, I still need a Daimos and a Rodan. Getting a Daimos with all four missiles is no small feat either.

Rodan has always been an expensive toy, even 20 years ago, it was selling for well over $200 MIB. It really wasn't that common, and Godzilla collectors want it, monster collectors want it, Shogun Warrior collectors want it, and there is also competition with Japanese Godzilla/Jumbo collectors, because no equivalent toy to this was ever released in Japan.

I picked up a few goodies last month. I finally got a Popy Spider-man after years of wanting one, a complete Battlestar Galactica Colonial Warrior MIB (now I just need a Cylon, he was the one I was really looking for when I found this guy) and a MIB Gilbert James Bond figure. I've had the accompanying pictured Odd Job figure since I was a kid (my uncle gave it to me, he got it when he was a kid and passed it down to me), and I've always wanted a Bond figure to go along with him, so I finally bit the bullet and found a really nice one. Now I just need the other version Odd Job (Gilbert made two variations), preferably boxed. I swear, no matter what I get, there is always something else to get. It never ends!

I just picked this up. It's not too old , but it is 20 years this year. I have always loved how megoesque it is.

Yep, it came still sealed in a baggie along with a scanner and the antenna for the backpack (can't really see that in my pic). According to the instructions (that covered both figures) the Cylon came with a similar clear end for his gun, around the same size, but a different shape.

The gun tip and antenna almost always seem to be missing on loose figures, so I'm hoping to get a unplayed with boxed Cylon, like I did with this guy.
