Breathtaking Mike!
Weirdly, I dabbled in SW too. I buy one SW toy a year and I was really leaning towards the Cantina until I spied this at Bounty Hunter Toys and memories hit me like a brick. I'm a real sucker for Canadian packaging. I'm actually kind of worried that I've uncorked some damn genie.

We took a trip into Columbus today and after all you can eat pancakes at IHOP, I stopped into Big Fun and picked up my first new toys of the year (well new old toys I guess)...
my first Micronauts piece of the new year, the Aquatron complete with box & instructions...
They had the Terrphaunt and I was sorely tempted, but it was a little more than I wanted to spend today and if I splurged it would have been te only thing I took home, so I went with a smaller Micronauts piece and a few other minor things too...
the Mego style Silver Age Green Arrow figure DC did a good while back....
they had Aquaman and removable cowl Batman from that line too, but I picked Arrow because he is a favorite of my wife's too (though she prefers the classic Van Dyke look Neal Adams designed for him in the late Silver Age).
and a pair of Flash Gordon figures on card from the toyline for the 90s animated series...
Ming...
and Prince Talon the Hawkman...
so not a bad start to the year...

Nice, that' Green Arrow was actually done by Hasbro I believe. I have the whole set of them, right in scale with Famous Covers.Comment

I believe you're right about Hasbro. I think i was right around the same time they did the JLA figures (with Superman in the Red and Blue costumes and Kyle Rayner GL) in that scale too. I will try to get the whole line of Silver Age figures eventually (I think there was Bats, Aquaman, Green Lantern and Supes in addition to Arrow, but I am not sure), but had to pick and choose on a limited budget today.

Joker and Penguin

As well as different versions of Batman and Superman that came with secret Identity clothing and in Superman's case a cardboard phone booth for him to change in.
There is also a first appearance Batman in the same scale whose cape has bendable wires in it making it very pose-able it came in a box set with a book:

The really odd thing was they did a Flash figure in the same packaging as the JLA Martian Manhunter and Superman Blue, but for some reason made him 12" instead of 9", really dumb, as it went with nothing else.
I have all of these and even doubles of the secret ID figures so I could display Bruce and Clark.
Once Hasbro got the Marvel licence they resurrected this body type under the Signature series line and did several Marvel figures including Spider-man Captain America, Mr Fantastic, Sandman, Green Goblin, and Wolverine. Some of these were a huge improvement on the Famous Covers that Toy Biz did. I also own all of these.Last edited by Ninersphan1; Jan 3, '17, 8:35 PM.Comment

Even though I only had the large size R2 as a kid. I love these! Like everything else I am lucky I don't have the room or I'd have at least attempted to collect these as I have a special place in my heart for the first movie and it' s packaging. If you did let some genie out at least your not in that much trouble as it's very limited line. I think 11 figures in the whole thing with only one, the Empire Striles Back IG-88 being tough/pricey relatively spreaking.

Yep, they did the ones you mentioned in the same packaging the first three were Aquman, Arron and GL. Superman and Batman came next, they were Target exclusives, but there are many others they did as well.
