That packaging looks familiar but I don't recall this product.
I'll bet I would've wanted it, though. Sounds cool. But I'll also bet it would never look as good as it does on the box!!

I had one of those! Here's a photo of me as the Grim Reaper at a Halloween party in 1987 --

NO OFFENSE........but like Rich said "doesnt look as good as it does on the box" or something like that. Still scary though for 1987

Not so surprising, really. All the packaging for things are done by professionals to make their products look the best. Model kits, paint-by-numbers, you name it. Almost always look better on the box unless you are very talented.
Always cool to see a vintage pic of something like this though. That's what's neat.

                    No offense taken.

If I remember right, the hardest part for me was the teeth. So I just colored it all in black.

                        Hmmmm....

THOSE were AWESOME! I had the skull, and you COULD make 'em work really well. Took tons of effort. They were a thin foam rubber, and came with a set of greasepaints to colour the mask and your face. They came with little sticky pads that didn't work, but you could glue 'em on with spirit gum. Worked a LOT better.

For about a year I used to wear it all the time.
