Was too old when they came out so never got into them. Did think they were kinda neat though. No interest in them at all really. I was a Fisher-Price kid, too.

They still make them, just not like this. The new Weebles look too much like the new Little People at least I think so.
I also had the haunted house plus a few others. The "new" weebles are awful. It's an example of how lawyers can screw anything up. The original weebles were small enough to be a choking hazard (never heard of it happening) so lets make the the size of a hen's egg! BRILLIANT!! JOHN
I never actually owned any of these as a kid, since I was around 8 or 9 when they came out. The commercials were entertaining though. Being a city kid, treehouses always intrigued me, and I secretly wanted one for my small dolls. I ended up making one w/ a small folding stool. When I started teaching, I did find the race track set w/ 3 Weebles at a thrift store for like $3. My pre-school class loved them!

Loved the Weebles. The Haunted House playset was my favorite, and it's one of my grail pieces today. I think I will get it eventually. Even my wife thinks it's a cute toy so I can probably convince her to let me pay the $$$ for it someday hehe
I know some that some folks probably think this is akin to blasphemy, but a few years ago, I made a necklace and earrings out of three Weebles. Such conversation starters.
It's a longshot, but does anyone have any weebles market knowledge? I know some vintage weebles playsets (like the haunted house) command decent $$ on eBay, but I'm looking for a price check on the mid 70s racetrack playset. I'd link a pic of it, but I'm coming up empty with google image search..
There are no current or completed auctions for it on eBay, so no help there either. Thanks!
Weebles were great little projectilres for throwing at your brother too, because the bottomweight would just carry them perfectly, and the size was exactly right for fitting in your hand
I was going to say the same thing. we used to get in weeble fights. they are shaped like eggs so fly well....lol
I always liked them. We were a Fisher-Price family, but a cousin of my grandmother's gave me and my sister both the circus (which I remember as being absolutely fabulous with all of its parts) and the western town (which I combined with the FP western town and let them mingle).

Wanted: Legends of the West (Empire & Excel) and other western historically-based figures. Send me an offer.
Also interested in figures based on literary characters.
My daughter got the new Weebles Treehouse for Christmas. It's a really cool toy with a lot of play value. Reminds me a lot of the old Weebles/Fisher Price stuff.
I bought the Mickey Mouse Club Weeble set from one of the members here. My class loves them, even though they don't know what the old Mickey Mouse club is. I guess they can play Disney's Mickey's Clubhouse.

I know many here might think it is blasphemous, but a couple years ago, I made earrings and necklace sets out of Weebles for myself and a cousin. I didn't gut my Weebles, so withstanding small holes in their heads, they are intact. I get quite a few comments whenever I wear my Weebles.
I never had any Weebles, I think I was a bit old for them when they first came out. But I still remember playing with the haunted house at a friend's house (must have belonged to his younger sibling), that was a really fun set.
Hey Brian, the link to the opening page photo of the catalogue doesn't work, looks like a bad url.
