SESAME STREET FINGER PUPPET and SCOTT ADAMS/WGSSFP appreciation thread

The above shot is a pic of my newest toy acquisition(s) courtesy of
Scott Adams, main founder dude of the WORLD'S GREATEST
SESAME STREET FINGER PUPPETS blog/site (and this Mego Museum site!).

I showed Scott the pic and he noticed some of the original 12 STAR WARS
figures had snuck in there. I have the finger puppets displayed right
next to the first 12 SW figures because it's right next to my workspace
and I need them very close to me...to peer at for inspiration and solace!

SESAME STREET FINGER PUPPETS were the first toys I ever coveted
as a young kid of about 2 or 3 going to the eye doctor and being tempted
    by the Doctor's "vision targets".

Purchasing a primo set of the 11 Child Guidance based toys was possibly
the biggest sentimental...and SATISFYING toy purchase I ever made,
and that's all thanks to SCOTT...he was very patient explaining "what was
what" concerning what I was going to get if I wanted the better versions
of the toys...and seeing the transaction through every step with care
    and ATTENTION.

If you're interested in an expert tour of this key niche of
vintage Sesame Street toy lore, please check out Scott's site.
    You won't be disappointed.

Thanks again Scott----and CHEERS to all the
vintage Sesame Street toy lovers out there
---whatta great part of pop culture to celebrate!

I have limited room in my bedroom for display.

I choose my most favorite pieces to display up here.

Ronald, Professor and Mayor McCheese lost the competition and are
on display downstairs with pieces from the McDonalLand trainset.

Don't get me wrong...I love 'em...but "display space" is "display spsce"
                ya know?

I think GRIMACE, BIG MAC, CAPT. CROOK and HAMBURGLAR are
the coolest looking of the seven.

Thanks so much, Hugh, you are a true pleasure to do business with, and it was fun to pass these on to someone who loves them so much. To be on the same shelf with an original SW 12 is fine company indeed.

I'll be adding more loose finger puppets to my shop as soon as I get some photos done.

That is HERRY a.ka. HERRY MONSTER.

                        He's a rarer finger puppet...I guess because he's a more minor character
that came later in the line's inception (that's a common reason for
collectibles in a line with various characters to be rarer).

I feel weird for saying this ...because it applies to SO MANY
Sesame Street characters...but HERRY was always one of my favorite
                        characters.

HERRY's unique look and unique voice appealed to me----and
he was always "the strong" blue monster---kinda like the HEFTY SMURF
of the blue monsters----also, for the scariest of the three most visible
vintage era monsters he had/has a very timid personality.

They look awesome. I managed to pick up some vintage ones locally after Scott's thread inspired me...my one year old nephew was stoked.

                            Those are some beautiful puppets.
The Herry, Count, Sherlock, AND Salesman! all amazing shape and awesome!!!!
Not that the others aren't cool as well. Nice selection and you certainly got them from the right fellow.

                            kudos and enjoyment
