    80's TOMY water toy.

    Hello there

For years and years, I've been looking for a picture of one of my favourite toys when I was a kid.
It was one of those water toys manufactured by TOMY in the early eighties. It had a big round button at the bottom right which injected air into the watertank.
The goal of the game was to put an articulated plastic cowboy onto his horse inside of the watertank...

I don't know how I did it, but I managed to lose this toy... That's why I'd really like to see it again...
    Can someone help me?

    cheers,

    Cliff

I remember those, I had a dolphin with rings. I used to know what those were called.

    Edit- They're called Waterfuls.

Yeah, I remember the one with the dolphin and the rings... I think a friend of mine had that one back in the day...

I wonder if these still pop up on Ebay or something...

EDIT: 'Waterfuls' you say.. Completely forget about that!...
      Thanks mate

          Well, kind of...
The one I had wasn't round, but shaped like a good ol' large VHS cassette case

Yeah they do pop on ebay, so I'd keep an eye out there. There are a few of the square ones on there.

Bryan, that's the dolphin I had, looking at the Tomy website, they obviously keep their moulds in good repair. Some of the toys offered there, my dad used to sell.

              Hmmmm....

It's driving me nuts; 'cos there were a LOT of 'em but I can't remember what they were called. There were round ones, rectangular ones.... I remember a huge display at the toy store when I was a kid. All clear plastic and shiney.... I remember a LOT of displays like that. Chrome, clear plastic, bubble domes.

Where is the future science promised me! Why am I not living in a bubble dome?!?!!?

              ....stupid science....

That one in the Ebay auction is the one I had as a kid. Yet another toy I'd almost completely forgotten about, yet I played with that thing incessantly when I was young. I might have to get me one of those again!

Whoa, the one on Ebay is probably one of the first. Mine was probably from a following generation since I must've gotten it somewhere during the early Eighties.

What I've noted is that a lot of these Wonderful Waterfuls have patterns or targets molded on the inside of the clear plastic tank.
Mine was completely empty and smooth inside. It just had the cowboy and the horse necessary for the Bucking Bronco style gameplay.

Thanks for all your help guys 'n gals. I really appreciate it!

                              YEAH!

That's them! I remember the pen ones too! I ALSO remember a set of honkin' huge pens that had a blob monster in em, and some sort of scenery. There was one with a purple "vampire" blob and castle, and one with a red "space monster" blob and ship. And one more I don't remember. So.... anyone know what I'm referring to?
