The Most Logical Superhero Toys Ever

This Aquaman Sled from the 1974 HG Toys catalog is something you just don't see anymore, a product that actually suits the Superhero. Nowadays if somebody got the DC comics license for pool toys, it'd feature Batman or Spider-Man but here the sea king gets his due. But wait, there's more....

Wonder Woman Magic Lasso jump rope. How awesome is this? It gets better...

Yeah, that's right even Oliver Queen gets some well deserved respect with his own archery set, somebody had their thinking cap on at HG toys, could this get better?

Um well, no it doesn't. This one is a bit of a reach and honestly it's a terrible pun. Hey, three out of four ain't bad right? It has lovely Neal Adams artwork, that counts for something?

I shouldn't have ended the segment with this one.....

Pretty cool stuff. I probably would have been all over that Green Arrow archery set. Just one thing. Am I the only one who feels a little uncomfortable at where that kid's head is on the art work on the Aquaman sled?

Cool! I want all of it!

Whose heads are in the target on the Green Arrow set? Looks like Sinestro for 50 points and The Red Tornado for 100?! What did Reddy ever do to GA?

Who wouldn't want a Batman bat?! I thought HG toys only put out puzzles. Cool toys!

Wasn't there a Wonder Woman jump rope in the utility belts you showed us? I was a chicken baby about water as a kid, but I'm digging that Aquaman kickboard.

Wow, that's awesome! Thanks for posting, especially the Green Arrow target. I haven't seen that in 35 years and still remember being irritated that my favorite Justice Leaguer was in the middle of the target. That picture is from Justice League of America #106 when Reddy rejoins the league, drawn by the legendary Dick Dillin. That just made my day - Thanks again!

Maybe Ollie was mad that Reddy was horking in on
his and his girlfriend's claim to being the only members of the JLA
                    with "color enhanced" names?

                    It's a longshot...but I'm just spitballin' here....

Can't make out the other face on the Green Arrow target, kinda looks like Swamp Thing. Poor Red Tornado, his only appearance on a toyline other than action figure and he's miscast as a villain! And I also can't believe those foam lollipop arrows (A.) actually shot without falling short of the target & (B.) were "safe"- that foam came off within 45 seconds of coming out of the package.

The Batman "bat" pun probably never occured to the mfr. A British cricket set would be appropriate, huh?

What I wouldn't have given to see Lynda Carter dressed in the costume jumping rope!

Ahhh ...all of you have that stuck in your minds right now, don't you! Enjoy.

I don't know, that center shot doesn't look like Red Tornado to me. In fact, they all look a bit like monsters with Sinestro guy looking a bit Drac.
