    Fleetwood Toys for 1980

This week's catalog is from Fleetwood Toys, a Rack Toy manufacturer that focused entirely it seems on the hottest licenses from TV and pop culture.

in 1980, Fleetwood was concentrating on late seventies icons such as CHiPs, Buck Rogers and Vega$ but not forgetting such evergreen properties such as the Marvel Comics Superheroes and Mighty Mouse.

There's a lot of neat stuff I'd like to own in the 1980 Fleetwood Toys Catalog....

I've always wanted that Ghost Rider but can't bring myself to lay down $125-$150 for it.

I was lucky enough to snag some Avengers toys from Fleetwood. I don't think I remember seeing ANY Avengers themed toys in the 70's. Their gliders you launch from a gun, each with a character on it. One is even done with The Vision.

Is Fleetwood still in business? I imagine the dollar store imported knock off stuff must have had a huge impact, stealing sales away from a place like this?

Of all the rack toy guys, the only one I know that's still in the game is Imperial.

AHI/Remco is still physically in business but they don't produce toys to my knowledge.

It's funny. Some of these toys are completely worthless out of the package because it's the "character graphics" that make them collectible. Vegas plus BJ and The Bear, that's hilarious!
