    Toy ID needed

Thin, plastic tiles (in a range of different colors) with four slits in each one. You'd connect them sliding the tiles into the slits (no sex jokes, please). I played with these in the early to mid-1970s, if that helps.

Here's a rough example that I made in MS Paint:

are you thinking of crystal (krystal?) climbers? They sound exactly like what you are describing except most of the pieces were of a see through color and they also had round ones like tube shapes that the straight pieces fit into

I know I still have a bag of these here somewhere. I used to make "space bases" with them

Looks to me like those cheap generic games usually sold in 5&10's and drug stores.

The whole square flat game measured about 4" x 4"
It was filed with the squares with one missing.
You slide the tiles around to make a picture.

I remember those - my sister had a set. I don't remember the name but I'll check to see if she recalls them. They came in different translucent colors and you just interconnected them to make geometric designs . . . hard to make anything specific, just these latticework structure . . .

Correct, they were definitely transluscent. Looks like I'm getting closer to an answer Thanks, everyone.

You know, they pretty much looks like the toy I remember. Can't believe they're still making them. I guess a good toy never goes out of style. Thanks.
