I gotta look at these a bit closer..I've probably come across them a few times cheap and passed them up thinking they were Ken dolls.

I remember these sitting on the shelf at K-Mart for a long long time. Seems everytime I would get to visit the toy aisle, the Hardy boys and a bunch of Galactica Ovions and Imperious leaders were always sitting or hanging in the exact same place.

What I want to know is why no Nancy Drew? She was part of the same series...as I recall they bounced back and forth everyweek...yet she didnt get a doll, which may have sold better...being aimed at little girls...than these guys did?

Didn't they change Nancy Drew to another actress in 1978 after Pamela Sue Martin posed nude for Playboy? That could explain why there wasn't a Nancy doll.
Don't guess it would have mattered as almost all of my sister's Barbies went nude all the time anyway. The clothes were all kept in a big bag o' stuff.

The Shaun doll looks like a Malibu Ken doll in the pic.

had both of them and really liked their sculpts. reminds me of the 1978 kenner star wars 12 inch line.

I read the books, watched the TV show, but never had any desire for these. They were too Ken doll-esque for me. But you could say the same thing about the 12" Luke and Han, and I did want those. But Star Wars was much cooler than Hardy Boys, so it was ok.
