    Rack Toys are Hell....

I'm working on another update for the Gallery of Rack Toys when I saw something I'd never seen before. Fleetwood Toys had the Marvel License so they coyly repackaged some army men with the Sgt. Fury brand. Sarge doesn't get enough merchandise so I'm especially smitten with this discovery.

The other cool thing about these toys is that they're so darn logical! Rack Toys is a universe filled with nonsense items like Hulk Helicopters and Planet of the Apes Parachute figures, so this is a really big deal to me...

Dang those are cool. I still have no idea why Toy Biz or Hasbro never did Sgt.Fury stuff. It's all stuff of him with S.H.I.E.L.D.

I swear my older brother had some of those same plastic army men as a kid. I wonder who the manufacturer was originally? Marx, MPC? Or were these unique to whoever made these?

A very underappreciated character! While I have seen one of these sets I never knew about the other one.

They actually look to be a rather solid set, too. I wonder if they made bigger sets also?
          It's all good!

Am I dreaming or the Sgt Fury's zodiac uses the same mold as the Adventure people Scuba Divers ones?

If yes, that means it could be possible to ad new AP stuff to a collection, even if the line is dead for 20+ years ... Cool.

I just scored a cool rack toy, a bag of green and tan army men made by MEGO.

It looks like they melded some Kirby art on to the packaging. Cool.

I would be extremely easy to make a custom repro like this.

Oh yeah, that top one has a redraw of the art on the Sgt. Fury Captain Action package by Kirby (that was lifted from the comics).
