    The Lone Ranger Rides Again!

I am extremely happy to anounce a new toy gallery at Plaidstallions, dedicated to what is definitely one of the finest and somewhat under rated action figure lines of the 1970s, Gabriel's Lone Ranger.
Thanks entirely to the generosity and support from collectors Bill Frost and Rob Chatlin, we now have on display what might be the most comprehensive archive of the Lone Ranger Toy Line ever compiled.
Feel free to browse the galleries for figure variations, playsets and the staggering amount of outfits and adventure sets produced, it's pretty amazing just how much was created for this line, it has it's own "mini universe"!

Please check out the Lone Ranger Action Figure Archive and if you have something we don't, please drop us a line.

    Cool!!
I got my Ranger & Tonto from Rob.
I'm definitely checking this section out!
I've always loved the LR ever since I was a little kid and watched reruns on tv.

Cool pages for a cool line.

One current question is...so are both SMOKE and BANDIT Butch's horses?

        Butch gets two?

Wow. This is fantastic guys. This line deserves such adoration for sure. As a kid, my grandparents gave me the Lone Ranger, Tonto, and their horses for Christmas in 81 or 82 (whatever year they were reissued to tie in with the Legend of the Lone Ranger).I loved them, and played with them a lot. Little did I know so many other great items existed. I have those same 4 toys now, but I'm SO tempted to get into this line full-force. This won't help any.

This line is great. I'm glad it is getting some well deserved recognition.
              It's all good!

Ha, my sentiments are along the same lines---even though I don't have
any at the moment I had LR, Tonto and BC and their steeds as a kid.

If only they made them in 8 inch scale to take up less space.

I'm not following the Castaway saga exactly---but I think there's
a possibility they may actually do this? That would be reallllly cool.

My cousins had the Lone Ranger, Butch, and Marx's Johnny West as far cowboys went. They used Lincoln Logs as the playset. I didn't know that they used the prospector set in the GIJoe Viewmaster reels! That's so cool! Tight fit, I bet, since the LR guys are only 10" tall! And those foreign playsets look much cooler than the cardboard Casron City set.

Wasn't Taka the bird used in the Big Jim series too?

Talk about toys with play value! Why don't they make this kind of stuff anymore?

We also need a new really good Lone Ranger movie- ala' Zorro.

Wow, a great addition and a must. I had LR and T as a kid. Loved them to death. And I will get a set again. Seeing all of Rob's collection was just amazing. I had never realized there was so much in the line. You could definately get into collecting it.

I know! Here's the funny part, I'm not done. I had planned to complete it before release but the holidays killed me so expect big revisions to this soon.

There was a member here a few years ago that collected this stuff.

He had a gajillion dolls and horses and playsets---at least that's
                          what it seemed like.

There was some explanation about foreign exclusivity and stuff---
and then the thread just kinda fizzled out.

It's understandable---as this is a Mego site and all---but it was interesting
while it lasted---nice to see sister site PS take a stab at it---Thanks Bri.

Oh this is wonderful--I still have my LR (although I need to fix the mask), Tonto, and Silver and always wanted some of the others like Little Bear, but I had not realized the full scope of the line. I guess I should head to Ebay! I had a silver mine playset as well.

I played with these along with the larger Legends of the West.

                            Many, many thanks.

God How I loved this as a kid and even more now as an adult! I'll never forget my reaction when I got the Lone Ranger for Christmas with Silver I absolutely loved it. One of my Fondest memories. I reaquired the LR a few years back and now he sits proudly on top of my retro Radio.....
