We went to the Alameda County Flea Market today. It's huge, mostly antique furniture and random vintage stuff, not much in the way of toy dealers. I almost never find any toy goodness there but today I stumbled upon a perfect specimen of a Topper Ernie Finger Puppet for $2. I was so thrilled to find a toy that I love in the wild I'da bought it for more despite having a box load of them at home.

Those loading cranes in the distance are the ones that inspired George Lucas to do AT-ATs, btw. No joke!

That is so cute. I had one similar to that when I was a kid, but I don't think he had wonderful fluffy hair like that. Nice score!

Scott---I posted in another thread re: your planned SESAME STREET
FINGER PUPPET site----I don't know if ya saw it----I'm very excited to read
and see what you've learned and gathered throughout the years regarding
this line.

I look at that Ernie finger puppet right up there with the original 12 Kenner
SW figs and Supes/Bats/Robin/Spidey/Hulk Megos as my top most
valued toys ever.

A drawerfull of vintage SESAME STREET FINGER PUPPETS doubles,
triples, quadruples, would be perfect for me...I just can't get enough
of certain cherished toys from my childhood.

I do the same thing, if I see something I love like a Pocket Hero Spider-Man out in the open like that, it's mine. Sweet, sweet score.
