I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard those belly/butt jigglers were deamed unsafe and made illegal in the United States in the early 80's.

I thought so too...kids could wrap that belt around their necks and hang themselves.

Can't see anyway to make it safer either...shame though, it was a staple of many an old cartoon or sitcom episode.

I remember the Twist and Tone, the Wonder Lounger (there's an ab lounger kinda like that now), and when exercise bikes looked like that. Is anyone else picturing the Jack LaLane show about now?
