    Empire toys

    I know that Empire made many generic Play items but later tooled then to other action figure.

    I remember;
    The Interplanetary Star Fortress advertised with 3.75 Mego Buck Rogers Figures.

    The Hulk Hideaway Play Case advertised with Mego 8" Hulk. This item was made by Tara.

    They made a van for Hulk & Spiderman.

    They made a heliocopter with a slot in the set so it can fit a Kenner Six Million Dollar Man, I had the first type with police stickers-blue/white. I know they release the same copter with Hulk, Spiderman, & Chips stickers/colors.
    If you know of any others please add.

      Interesting toy company because of their attempts to make business
      by bolstering other lines----cool thread.

        Just to clarify, Empire didn't make the Hulk Hideaway, Tara did. They are largely known for their generic toy playcases.

        I addition to the licensed helicopters and vans they made, they also made ride-on toys, including a Batmobile and Batcycle.

        Empire also made/makes many of the large plastic light-up lawn decorations you see at Christmas-time.

          I best knew Empire for their "Legends of the West" line of western figures and toys. I loved this line, and I didn't realize they did the supplemental things at first. I can remember going with my sister to one of her friend's houses, and that friend had an Empire pool for her Barbies. My dad explained the idea that they were making something that could be sold/used with other lines.

          I'm always interested in getting ahold of more Legends of the West, however. If anyone has any or any info, let me know.

          Wanted: Legends of the West (Empire & Excel) and other western historically-based figures. Send me an offer.
          Also interested in figures based on literary characters.

              I remember getting a helicopter and jeep for my birthday one year to go with my Steve Austin figures. I think the jeep was the brown version, and the helicopter was some generic color (blue perhaps?)
