    It's Maaaaagic!

Chances are at one point in your childhood, you became somewhat interested in Magic, especially tricks that you could perform yourself.

This magic section from the 1975 Franco American Catalog, one of the bigger novelty distributors shows that you weren't alone, their rack toy like selection of magic tricks might be familiar if you ever desired to pull a rabbit out of hat.

Check out the Magic of the Franco American Catalog Here.

A kid up the street had a Blackstone magician's kit. It was pretty neat, but we never could get the stuff to really work all that great.

My best friend worked as a magician's apprentice in middle school. I was totally jealous, and begged him to tell me their secrets. He took an oath, and he stuck to it! I thought that was really cool.

My older brother had a couple of those TV Magic kits advertised by this guy (can't think of his name) on TV all the time. Of course on TV the tricks worked so much better!
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Oh man, a yet further childhood passing fascination I had completely forgotten about. I remember getting one of those kits taht had the little trick devices to make the coin disappear or the cup that hides the styrofoam ball. I do believe, however, that this may have been a gateway toy for my Satanism.
