    Mattel 12" Battlestar Galactica Figures

I know that Mattel based the models of its 12" Battlestar Galactica Colonial Warrior and Cylon on one of its earlier toy lines. I have seen a blue spaceman with a gray helmet before with the same type of right arm. What was that mattel line from the 60's called.

I think you're right but I think the head came from something else too, and they put the two together.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

That's the one I have seen. Boy they want $150 loose no accessories. The body is the same as my cylon, except for the belt bucket design and the knee guards on the boots.
I wonder if there are any more.

The 12 inch Galactica figures used the same bodies as Captain Laser, which was part of the Major Matt Mason line from Mattel in the late 60s. Captain Laser was first used in the Major Matt Mason line.

Captain Laser's aren't that expensive. 150$ would be about half the price for a boxed one, which are rare. But loose ones are common and aren't in that high demand so don't command such a high price.

That was what they wanted for one, at the antique shop, I was in a few years ago.

yeah, most antique shops and even collectable shows have the highest prices. eBay is a better guide to what things actually cost (because it's what people actually pay).
This one antique show I go to twice a year has some cool stuff but it's all insanely overpriced. There's always some grey haired woman trying to sell a beat up Adventure Team GI Joe (for example) with mismatched and knock off clothing for $90 or something.

Yep, me too. Try searching using both "lazer" and "laser" as well as "capt." and "captain".

Search using Matt Mason and you will find it easier. I owuld say complete with helmet and spaceboots and working it would cost more like $35-50 range, on a good without accessoires extras maybe $10

Got today instruction sheet for the 12" Mattel BG Figures

Good news, today in the mail I got a mint instruction sheet for my 12" Mattel Battlestar Galactica Cylon to replace the one I lost long ago. I also got the complete set of instruction sheets for the Kenner remote control R2-D2. I have a remote R2 that my mother, god rest her soul, bought at a yard sale for me long ago. It didn't come with a controller so I honestly don't know it if works right. I keep it on my Book sheet, one shelf up from my Cylon, which is sitting down waiting for orders. Also included was the first issue Kenner Star Wars booklet. I will have to check, but I think now I have all the Kenner Star Wars Booklets except for the second one that interduced the 13-20 figures released.

I thought I would post a few shots of mine. Amazingly he has stayed intact through my childhood. Sorry I didn't shine him before taking the pics.

Yep! From the time I got him I mostly just used him for display and played very little with him. Fortunately I had the good sense to take the batteries out when he was stored years ago.

He still looks good, just needs a bit of a cleaning. The 12" Cylon is on my list of toys to buy one day. I wanted one as a kid but never had one, I just had the small one, and the Cylon Raider with the really small Cylon (which I lost almost instantly)
