Halloween costumes are one thing that have definately improved with time.
These are neat for nostalgias sake, but were essentially plastic bags with really crappy drawings on them, sorta like some kind of 2nd grade craft project.
The masks themselves always had a neat odor to them that I always associate with halloween.
Do they still make these style costumes?I remember when I was a kid they were trying to ban them because they were combustible.....but they were still around into the nineties at least..."Crayons taste like purple!"Comment

I still see the occasional mask like the old time Ben Cooper "hard shell" type. There are cheapo Spider-Man, Hulk and Iron Man suits out like that this year. I don't think anyone makes the vinyl costume anymore though. By the time my 15 year old nephew was a toddler, they were gone from sight. My kids have never seen one in a store.

I found a vinyl smock at the dollah store yesterday. It said "Childs Halloween Costume" and looked like a garbage bag with some bats painted on it. Very old school, I almost bought it.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

my mother recently found an old Spock costume in the attic and gave it to my son. Who at the ripe old age of 6 thought it looked ridiculous and refused to wear it. Kids these days, I swear...Comment
