Hey yunz.
I have seen many non-Mego toys posted here. A lot I have never seen in my local toy store back in the day and it kinda reminds me that in those days. Toy sales were more regional and not National like today. Anyway heres my problem. I had a action figure/vehicle toy. I believe it was in the 70's and I think his/its name was "Action Max" or something like that. The figure was about as tall as The six million dollar man. He had a solid chrome head (It was'nt DR. Chromedome.) His body was white plastic beams held together by orange nuts and bolts and came with a special little orange screwdriver like thing so you could take him apart and re-arrange him however you chose. As for the vehicle part of this toy. It was an overgrown skateboard. Maybe because skateboarding was becoming popular cross the country in the 70s. The skateboard was motorized (electric). The figure rode it. It too was white and orange like Max. It had the BUMP and go feature. The skateboard would run into something hitting the orange forks on the front causing them to switch the motor into reverse. The same was on the rear. The other feature of the skateboard was that the Max figure could hold it and a hook on a piece of twine could be pulled out. Activate the skateboard motor and the whole thing would climb up said rope. Does this sound familiar to anyone. Dont go by the name as with my poor memory. I could be totally wrong on the name. I typed it in on ebay several time and in several variations and came up empty. This had to be one of those oddball toys as I have'nt seen one since the Christmas when I first got it.
Help me Obi Wan! Your my only Hope!!!
