Whether from your local five and dime, or the back of a cereal box, spooky Halloween records always conjure up good memories...I remember when I was 11 and my friend Laura came over and brought this record.

I put it on the living room stereo, we turned out the lights and listened. We were OK during the cheesy version of Monster Mash, but once those spooky sounds started playing, we were hiding under the blanket on the couch. When the sounds got really scary, we squished ourselves under the coffee table.
Even though it scared the snot outta me, I had to have this record. I talked my mom into going to Woolworth's to pick out my costume and this album. But right next to it, I saw this record.FAMOUS GHOST STORIES lp Wade Denning Halloween Record - eBay (item 270285621980 end time Nov-08-08 18:01:00 PST)
And remembering how scared I was listening to Laura's record, I opted for this one. I still have it, (and not a scratch on it!) But in adult life, my thoughts drifted back to Halloweens past and my old friend Laura, so I found the Sounds Of Terror on Ebay and bought it.
I did also have a spooky sounds record from the back of a cereal box the year before, but something happened to it and I never saw it again.

So what Halloween records did you have? Any good memories? Come on out from under the coffee table and share!
