I have a weakness for store displays of any kind and it's a true bonus when you can find them in a catalog. This sweet display of Collegeville masks inclues "The Bat" and a great generic version of the creature from the black lagoon that I'm kind of smitten with:
Those are so cool! Old school Halloween, gotta love it!

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
Ahh, wonderful Ben Cooper, the KING of Licensed Character costumes...and alas, crafty Collegeville--the Masters of Knock-Off character costume cloning!
Man, Halloween was great when we were kids!!!
The best part was hanging on to these dime store costumes after Halloween, to put on and go out an play with your friends with!
I remember that snake or spiderman thing in the upper right corner. I think even as a kid I saw these as cheaper versions of my beloved Ben Cooper stuff. Was the Cooper stuff really that much more expensive?
Isn't that Spider-character mask in the upper right corner the same one Steve Miller wore on an album cover (the Joker, maybe)? Alex Ross snuck it into the bar scene in Kingdom Come.

Cool. Looking at these again, I recognize more. That ghost in the 2nd row, top left, looks like a ticked-off Casper. I also recall that bottom witch and Frankenstein. Remember a few years back when Target's Halloween decorations looked like old 60s/70s masks? They had a huge Frankenstein head that looked a lot like that mask.
