need help remembering a robot toy from the 80's

must have been around 1984... I got a random toy robot that was kind of like a transformer but was more like the anime style toys from japan.

He was blue and white and was more or less a bunch of interchangeable parts. so he could be a car or robot ... I guess anyting you'd want him to be to a point lol.

for years I found bits and pieces of him mixed around in my stuff .... until one day he was no more ???

    any help would be great

    Thanks

    Uh....

Got any more info? Did he have a face, or a big wing/jetpack? Was he made of smaller vehicles?

I looked it up by your description.
The only thing I could come up with was Autobot Mirage

no sorry it's all from memory ... I know he wasn't made up of smaller vehicles I don't remember any jetpacks wings. He did have a face/head. I do know it wasn't Mirage ... but it was kind of like a futuristic race car looking guy. ... really kind of like a anime robot meets lego (in the fact that he could be taken apart into pieces and built back into something else)

I'm thinking he was some kind of off brand ... or knock off ... might have been made by someone like Ban-di

Sounds like something I saw at Sears or Radio Shack. Can't remember which.

I gave one of those to Johnny last year. Looked like a giant micronaut so figured it was up his alley.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Did the robot have any diecast components? If it did, and it came with a bunch of parts, it sounds like it may have been a Godaikin (they were released in the US in the early 80's). If it was, just a warning, those babies go for serious money these days.

Mighty Max is super cool, I'll see it sell for $20 boxed on eBay, but whenever I bid on one they sell for about $40.

no metal parts ... it was about 5 inches tall and all parts were plastic

thanks for trying to help everyone ... I wish I would have had a picture of it

                              re

I used to collect a ton of robots in the 80's both official and knock off. Sadly also during that robot peak there were literally hundreds of one-offs, knock offs or other lesser collections out there. Because of the size, is it possible your figure might have been from the robotech series? I also do not mean the
ones made by matchbox, but the generic Japanese editions that made it over here with a zillion characters?
