^ That was downright moving. Just a beautiful snapshot of the wondrous time at 11:59 before Star Wars toys hit.

Aint it though...lol...I loved base life...It's sad though, the whole area/housing we lived in at the time is gone now from a storm or something I think...I wanna say we lived on Service road or something...we were right up from the base pool and NCO club...I was like 7 or 8 at the time, but some good memories....

Here is everything I have left of me and Christmas in the 70's...Which, sadly, isn't much....Not alot in the way of "toys" in the photos, but Christmas nevertheless...

Me and my older brother Tony...Probably 1974 or 1975....Barksdale AFB, LA...Another thing I miss about Christmas from years ago are all the unique and different tree decorations we had...Nothing fancy or expensive, but still brings back memories

Another from that same year I think...Based on my clothing...Me and my sis....Don't recognize alot in the photo except for I think a Shirley Temple doll box....

My older brother Gary hogging my army men...Presumably a Christmas present...Its amazing the many years of fun you can have with a simple, cheap toy like those army men....

Finally my sis in Alabama...probably 1978 or 1979...Whenever Alphie came out anyway...I do actually remember that toy from when we were kids...Hard to believe that little girl has 4 boys of her own now...

Here's mine. Not sure of the year. Heroes in Action were the thing at the time. I was quite militant.

    Genesis of a Geek

Christmas 1974, I got my first Star Trek item - the Enterprise model kit!

Photo was taken from an 8mm film reel, so it's not the sharpest.

Those Godzillas were really popular back then.

Wish I still had photos of myself from that era. My aunt or cousin might. I'll get ahold of them and see if they do.
