    G.I. Joe Zartan question

Does anybody know if the chemical in the plastic used to make Zartan still works? For those that don't know what I'm talking about is that kids would put their Zartan in the sun and his pale skin would change to a light blue colour. My Zartan no longer works so I'm wondering if the chemical just "dries up" or something. Did any other toys use this type of plastic?

I dunno What the Chemical Was.... However with over exposure to SunLight,.. it will fry the Feature with the Action Figure.

mine I left in my window for like 6 years straight ... and the front of the figure no longer changes color ... but the back half still does a little bit. I've seen some that work perfect even all these years later, so it's just like what blackknight said too much will kill it

I dunno, i just figure they must've added something to the plastic to make it change color.

Seems like color-change stuff is hit or miss over any extended period. My son took a 1995 Batman Forever Dick Grayson/Robin figure with color change mask off the card a while back, and he was disappointed to discover the mask was permanently half "on". I just ended up painting it in the rest of the way.

Man, I loved Zartan as a kid. How cool was that color change and his disguise mask?

Zartan can get him at reasonable prices out of pakage for $10-$25.In package with swamp skier seen them go for $175-$250,of course more for AFA grade.Zartan brother and sister where cool also Zandar, and Zarana. They are at decent prices as well.Zarana with ear ring is more value in price in or out of package.

                    re

Zartan also had some slim special piece of plastic inside his "stomach" if you opened up the figure. I thought that was what caused the color change, it must have played some kind of role in it
