Actually thought Lego was Danish for "Fiendish torture device" as any parent who stepped on one of these little bricks in the dark can attest to.

Designed to inflict maximum pain. The English could have fended off the vast armies of Shaka Zulu just by scattering these little hellions around their encampments. Would love to see a thousand Zulu warriors jumping up and down, holding a foot up yelling in pain.

I heard special forces looked into developing this as a anti personel weapon in Nam.
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
    Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.
In the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever.

I always wanted a Lego castle as a kid, but I kept putting other things over it on my Christmas list. I did have plenty of city and space sets. I took a red astronaut and named him "Spaceman" (real original, I know) gave him a sidekick in white, and gave them Batman-like adventures.

My son has several of the Lego Batman sets, including the TRU Arkham Asylum and the Batcave. They are both beyond awesome.

          Cool list!

I've never been crazy about Lego "sets". I mean bricks and some cool xtras are good, but I notice a lot of kids get locked into just making it (or trying and getting frustrated) w/ making them look like the photo on the box. I remember after Return of the Jedi came out, I used to make Speederbikes for my little half-brother out of plain brick pieces. I got so good at it, my kid brother would bring his friends over w/ their Legos, asking me to make them Speederbikes. I had to threaten his life if he didn't stop! LOL!

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

way cool stuff ... nice picks for the top 10 ... I really want that death star. I still have my childhood Black Falcon castle, I need to replace some of the figures ... I seem to have lost them. Christmas before last my sister and her kids got me the Batmobile set that looks to be more in scale with 3 3/4" figures than Lego people ... that was fun the wheels make little things spin all though the thing

Lego has made some awesome stuff over the years. Their monorail sets are pretty cool as well.

I've got two 24 gallon tubs full of this stuff, new and old.

I've built quite a few of the Technic set's over the years too, enjoyed Lego since I was a kid. Just recently picked up the Indy Jungle Cutter and Jungle Duel sets cheap (hint: watch your local Goodwill store, Target sends damaged box merch there). Was happy when I came across this one recently !
