Clark Kent felt underwhelming
I got a TON of GI Joe mail-ins. Hooded Cobra Commander, the Wolverine missile launcher, parachute packs...the list goes on and on. Great times.

I think the first mail-away figure that I got was Belloq in 1982 from Kenner Raiders of the Lost Ark/Indiana Jones.
I also had Duke, "the Fridge", Sgt. Slaughter, Starduster and those Steel Brigade figures (I got several). I can't remember if I got Cobra Commander or not.
From Super Powers, I had Kalibak and Firestorm. I was really in love with the Super Powers line, but I never got the Clark Kent.
That's all I can remember, right now.

There have been some good recent GI Joe mailaways too. Agent Faces and Storm Shadow Unmasked are both fantastic.Comment

Star Wars mailaways never stopped being cool. They still feel special, despite the bigger boxes, and more deluxe packaging.
That Ark was pretty sweet. I only got the skeleton, myself, but the Ark looks great, even with more high end 12" figures.Comment

I missed that one. I remember seeing loads of the envelope at Wal Mart after the expiration. Wish I had bought a couple.Comment

Was digging around in my closet and found two Hoth Backpacks and three gas masks from the Survival pack!
Pretty sure I still have the belt and hook hiding out in a weapons locker from the Chewbacca Bandolier somewhere too. Gonna have to keep an eye out for it.Comment

Oh man i used to love the mailaways.
I can still remember the day Duke came in the mail and my mom made me finish my homework before playing with him.
i had all of them in the 80s: fett, bossk, anakin, weapons pack, hooded cobra commander, duke, fridge, manta, belloqComment

I remember visiting a toy stall at a market back in the early 90s, and they had lots of mail away Emperor figures from ROTJ, still in their mailer packaging, on sale for mere pennies. Bought a few... wish I'd have snagged them all.
Later, the same stall had loads of the old mail away Mumm-Ra figure for a similarly low, low price.PUNY HUMANS!Comment
