I wonder how different the remake would be?

Just read they are going to remake the Black Hole, so I imagine a whole new slough of merchandising is on the way!!!

I remember asking somebody and they're a little larger than the Mego editions.

Thanks for the info. Are these guys on the same scale as mego 3-3/4"? I'd like to get old bob to go with my loose guys.

I think they're just a blind boxed item that were sold in Japan, it was in a series of Disney characters like Tinkerbell, Mickey Mouse etc.

The Black Hole figures kind of blew up in the secondary market value mostly due to it's fan base.

I had a chance to get these pretty reasonable when they first arrived on scene and hesitated, now? Forget it....

I'd like to hear more about the Kubric TBH figures as well.

Disney also released a collector's pin with VINCent on it last year (part of a series of pins available to cast members at WDW)- you can find them on ebay still.

Dinsey treats the Black Hole like a red headed step child, the only merch (besides DVD) that I know of in the last few years were some japanese figures and that KILLER VINCent vinyl figure that was an SDCC exclusive this year.

You'll probably find some Tron stuff seeing as the sequel is due soon.

Since Black Hole was released by Disney, I was hoping to find some items at Disneyworld last year, but no luck. Did not find any Tron items either, only Star Wars. We will be heading back in March, so maybe I'll find some anniversary Black Hole items.

Next month marks the 30th anniversary of the release of The Black Hole. This would be the year to decorate your Christmas tree with Mego TBH figures! And at the top, be sure to put the brightest light-up Angle you can find!

P.S.: Now I'm wishing I had a couple-dozen Mego VINCents and BOBs to do a whole tree with.

I loved (and still love) the film, but I only had poor old Harry Booth. I always wanted more, and desperately wanted a V.I.N.Cent, but they were never widely available in my area and my parents' action figure dollars nearly always went for Star Wars.
