They both used the same motor.
That has to be the coolest picture I've ever seen on the museum

    Thanks Guy!

          The two figures are
"The Great White Shark" from the set "Aquaman vs the GWS"
and the Green figure is Sharkoss.

In truth, both of these used to be quite obscure in my day, but I imagine with the internet they show up on a much more regular basis.

Great White Shark was obtained in the early 1990s -
He initially was MIB, but there was a basement flood.
He swam away and right into the hands of Jim Makowski of Action toys.
Who in turn passed the fish onto me.

Sharkoss was obtained through California Japanese super collector Tom Franck (who brought him back for me after going to WONDERFEST and hooking up with an Italian toy dealer in Japan)

Yes there were the occasional hoops to jump through, but people were more understanding back then. Man, I lived for LAY-A-WAY plans.
Who the heck needs food when there were toys as cool as MEGOs!
Are they a lot easier to get now?
          Cheers,
          Guyx1

Ouch! Of all the toys to have a box ruined in a flood...

Sharkoss was obtained through California Japanese super collector Tom Franck
In my eyes, Tom even goes way beyond "super collector" after snagging a Garada K7 Jumbo Machinder (not to mention his awesome JM collection as a whole)

Not sure about Sharkos, but the Great White Shark set is still not seen for sale very often.

I could never see what the big deal was about Sharkos. I always thought it was one of the lamer Micronaut toys.
I am more than machine. More than man. More than a fusion of the two.

I do kind of agree he looks less slick than say Hornettroid or Lobstros but I still think he's neat.

I like the Lord Emporers. Mmm shiny. Interesting about both the sharks have the same engine. Makes perfect sense though.

I am surprised taht you don't have a detailed site listing the variations between the releases.
