Ever since I got a Twiki on the card $20 back in 2002, I've been trying to piece together a complete set of Buck Rogers for under $25 each. It's been a lot of fun and rewarding to piece this set together like this. I will miss doing it.

That's a nice and clean set, Brian. I agree it's definitely more rewarding and challenging to piece them together with a spending cap. Looks like you made out like a bandit.
Hopefully you will find a similar set to approach the same way.
Any plans to get the playsets and vehicles? -

Thanks Heath, I really enjoyed stringing the set together this way. I actually had the same approach to vehicles and am only missing one, The Star Searcher which never seems to close at under two bills. Kind of hard to me to part with that kind of dough when I don't have two bills in all the other vehicles combined
Not just because of the price (although that would be a big part of it) but because it just doesn't look like a Buck Rogers toy.
At least with the Pocket Hero vehicles they tried to gussy them up a bit to look a little diffrent. The Star Searcher is just flat out a Micronauts toy with a Buck logo on it.Last edited by number 6; May 17, '07, 11:47 AM.Comment

Damn man, very nice! I just found some of mine (I just replaced the rubber "O" rings in them) I need the tiger man and a better Twiki then I'll be set ships well, that will be something else!
I just don't have the willpower to buy things carded, I wanna jerk em out of the packages. (unless they're something I already have loose)
I was surrounded by vintage Transformers one time,
I still have the nightmares!sigpic

That's a nice set Brian, and as a budget-conscious Mego collector, I know how long it can take to build a collection with a cap like that on. But it's very satisfying when you do!
The Buck card is just too cool. Seeing it over and over doesn't diminish the impact any either.
