VISITING NYC in May.... any comic/toy store to suggest?

    hi!
In early may I am going to visit New York City...

I kindly ask if somebody can post the names/addresses of comic/toy stores located in Manhattan worth being visited.

I collect vintage MEGO Superheroes toys and silver/bronze age Marvel in high grade.

    Thanks

Toy Tokyo or was it called Tokyo Pop? on the East side. Try to haggle them on their boxed Riddler!

Not many stores carry vintage Mego's just sitting there waiting on the shelves. A lot of the good stores closed down at the end of the 1990's.

        Thanks for the replies.
I just checked their website ( https://www.toytokyo.com/ ) and it seems they mostly sell new toys / collectables...
Isn't there a good MEGO shop in Manhattan?

Like johnmiic said, all the vintage toy shops are gone in NYC, rent is too high for that kind of store in Manhattan (and most of the Northeast for that matter). Toy Tokyo sells a lot of new collectible toys but also has a pretty decent random collection of 70s/80s toys for sale. When I was there last summer, they had three boxed Mego figures and a carded teen titan, not cheap. They also had some other random loose mego stuff tucked around the store. Sadly, I think you would be hard pressed to find ANY Mego-filled toy shop in the U.S...

Maybe you should start a thread in Mego Buzz asking which city in the U.S. has the best Mego toy store... Your best bet is Wheeling West Virginia for Mego Meet.

Check out mid city comics. They have at least 3 locations in manhattan . The one in times square has lots of statues and some megos. Most f them are well in stock with new re mego lines,

I like going to Time Machine when I'm in NYC...it's pretty cluttered with a bunch of different stuff, but I have always found some great items...they have a ton of comics, magazines and vintage toys including Mego's scattered through the store.

Hey guys, do you know if Village Comics has a store again? Or have they remained out-of-business all these years?
