One problem with the new cards (they're too big)

I love the new cards.

Only problem is they're all way too big.

They wont fit in my baseball card slip notebook.

Wondering if I should try cutting them all by hand ?

Anyone ever done this ?

I hate to complain, but if I can't get them in my book it kind of ruins the fun because I have to keep them loose and seperate from the rest of the cards.

Just trim them. Not really a big deal.

I just used my photo paper trimmer, worked like a champ.

Ditto! I just noticed it last night when I went to put them in my binder. I have a photo trimmer and it worked perfectly.

The printer probably mis-cut a stack of them and left them a bit over sized. Most are probably cut to the proper size. It happens more than you would think. Darn, Dirty Printers!

The amount of drama this print run caused is incredible and none of it came from me. The print shop that did these, delayed the project twice, then claimed their printers were down on the promised day.

They agreed to do half the run digital so I could send them out and print the rest the old fashioned way the following week. When my print broker's courier (his dad) showed up, they made him wait four hours on the Friday of a long weekend. Needless to say, he was non plussed.

I picked the cards up, sent them all out and noticed at the end that they were improperly cut. I met up with my broker that afternoon, had more beer than I should have and showed him the cut. His head just exploded.

I was later CC'd on a flurry of correspondances, all peppered with creative swearing on how they would made to pay for this incredible injustice. How the client (me) was ready to kill them etc et all (I wasn't). The print shop reprinted the entire run and recut them, they're waiting for me somewhere. I still have a pretty big box.

All though this, I never really gave it much emotion, thinking folks here wouldn't be unkind and for the large part I seem to be correct. I'm disappointed that anybody would think it "takes the fun out of it" .
