Also, please note that Columbus is a foodie town. Many of the best restaurants are in the short north area, but there are plenty of places around the area. For instance, in the NE part of the city is a stretch with international flavor. On Rt 161 are an authentic Mexican bakery and some of the best Chinese/Thai in the area. North of there on Cleveland Ave are places with Nigerian, Somalian, Brazilian, more Mexican, BBQ, and Greek. Up the rd a minute is Filipino, and a few minutes east is amazing baklava (with 2 comic stores near the baklava). Also, we have a world class French place with a deep wine cellar:

^Oh, that looks wonderful. I haven't had meals like that since I visited NYC in '02 and Quebec City in '03. C'est vachement.
I'm definitely a foodie, and an adventurous one.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment

What is the name of the place with the baklava? My wife loves it, and the place in Columbus we used to go to for Greek food closed a year or so back and we have been looking for a new place to try when we go over to Columbus (we may make Mego Meet but we are definitely doing Origins Game Fair at the Convention center a couple weeks afterwards. Which shops, sadly I probably know the comic shop option in Columbus better than the food choices.

Ah yes, Lego store build a bear an American girl store are in Easton townie center. By Easton mall on the ne corner of columbus. Take 270 n from mego meet to Morse rd or Easton exit.
Tuttle mall and Polalaris fashion place mall are 2 places I avoid, but if you shop or want fancy chain restaurants, they for you. Tuttle nw corner of columbus, Polaris north of columbus.
Oh and there is Hollywood casino not too far from the meet on the west side.Comment

I might splurge on some food, but all my shopping will be at the meet.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment

Yeah, I'll basically advise people not to go on 270 around there...161, Sawmill, etc. It should be passable, but crowded with sudden stops, etc. Bethel should be OK, which is key because of the restaurants. 70, 670, 315 & 71 all look preferable to 270 near Dublin for that weekend, obviously except for Friday's rush hour.
Speaking of golf, the hotel is right near 2 courses: Raymond & Wilson. I haven't played them in years, but both were fun when I did. Wilson is a little 9 hole executive course, if anyone wants a 2 hour round.Comment

There are no planned events in Florida under the umbrella of "Mego Meet".
If you want to organize a get together in Florida, please don't do it in this area of the forum or muddy the waters with confusion by referring to it as a "Mego Meet".
A lot of people work very hard to get this thing going and it would be detrimental to our efforts to confuse people at this stage, I think that's reasonable to request.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions
