I got a call from my buddy, Otto, tonight. Otto is the guy who did the amazing oil painted Mego portraits in the book, and he's a huge fan of the cartoon Venture Bros. Anyway, Otto tracked down show creator Jackson Publick earlier today, asking whether he could send him a free copy of the book.
Publick wrote back within hours, apparently expressing great appreciation for the book, adding that he had already bought one for himself and one for his brother.
I'm not that familiar with the show yet, but I have watched some episodes over at Charlie's (MegoGeek) house each time I've gone to hang out with fellow Mego heads in Chicago.
I understand one of Publick's favorite parts of the book is the interior snapshots of Mego's offices, back in the day. Pretty cool, as I love those, too.
Thought I'd share with you guys. Now I'm off to get Venture Bros. on DVD!
