I recently acquired a Mego SpiderMan on ebay and it just arrived today. It's a great Mego figure, but I noticed one oddity. Unlike the SpiderMan figure I had as a kid, which had red hands, this figure has plain skin toned hands. Obviously, I'm going to try to fix that. Either I could buy red hands or red oven mitt gloves from either Dr. Mego or Classic TV Toys. Did anybody else have a SpiderMan with plain hands? Inquiring mind wants to know.

I've see these from time to time. It always seem to me that the original body broke at one time and someone just swapped the head and outfit. In some cases, I wonder if it was the red hand(s) that broke or just an arm, leg, foot. Not sure how many people in the 70s knew that you could boil and pop hands and unpin/repin arms and ankles.Comment
