Action Jackson's boots

Back in January I purchased 3 different boxed Action Jacksons from two different sellers. I recently removed the third one, the AA AJ, from his box and noticed something different. Instead of the normal white soldier boots, he is wearing short white boots like the black boots found on the POTA Astronaut, Jet Jungle, and the AJ Navy accessory set. I wasn't aware that there were boot differences in boxed AJs.

Anyone else come across this?

I had AJ's as a kid and all of them had the short white boots. I didn't think that they came any other way.
maybe the other two came later?

When I was a kid all of my AJs had the tall white boots. Maybe it's whatever Mego's assembly people felt like putting on them.

As the spider spins it webs, so shall boxed AJ have variations... I have a LOT of boxed AJ's. Almost all are slightly different. Everything from boots to suit color/cloth to button color/size.
