The Star Trek galleries has pics like that showing the three variant heads for Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scottie and Klingon. Did you mean that? (I think those are the only Megos that have lip variants)

Ben's book shows the different head types for T-0, T-1, T-2, and Fist Fighters using Robin.

I guess this is a good place to start; however, I saw a bagged type one play set with all the figures still factory sealed in the baggie and they were the unpainted version. I always thought that the type one figures had painted lips. Mego is a weird animal when it came to these variants. I own a few long plug (T-1) megos that are also unpainted.

It's likely that only the very first run of T1 figures had painted lips. They were quickly replaced by unpainted lip versions, which is why the painted lips ones rarely turn up, the unpainted ones are much more common. So T1 figures can be found in both variations and both have lighter skin than the T2 Trek heads.

Do all the Fist Fighters have a different head plug or just Robin? Is there a picture in the galleries?

I believe they all have shorter plugs to make room for the fist fighting mechanism inside the torso.

Yep. Robin's head was the just the example in the book for all of the heads.
