    Mego Star trek enterprise playset

Can anyone tell me if this Mego playset was ever re-issued in the early
1980s? I am asking this because that is when I purchased it (well mom) at a slightly lesser store known as Value city.

My guess is it could have been left over store stock.

The definitely released a lot of Star Trek junk in the end---my friend bought an Enterprise set at a grocery store in the early 80s, it was a gift set with a Kirk, Spock and Klingon-and NO transporter--just a poorly made cardboard and vinyl case....

The one I have does have the transporter and is dated 1975. It had all the furniture and other items that went with it. It came with no figures however. I used to love spinning my GI Joe figures (3 3/4) in the trasnporter and hitting the stop button at random

Cool. Yes, I didn't mean to imply that all late issue Enterprises would have no transporter, just making the point that Mego was unloading all manner of stuff in the final days.

Value City is a 2nd's and overstock store. I'm sure what you got was overstock/closeout stuff.

It never ceases to amaze me the wonderful things they still find in warehouses or that overstock can still float around in limbo for so many years

Do you mean to say that they came out with Enterprises without the plastic transporters. Did they put a cardboard transporter in it's place?

                  Let tell you this
Back In early 83 Mr. Becker took his semi truck to several warehouse auctions of old merchantdice , when he came back week later he had a a bunch of mego enterprise
Playsets, that no accessories or transporter device and no latches to lock it closed, and was wrap with plain white sleeve with star trek printed on it. and he sold them for 5.00 dollars each in his store.
