    The Super Gals' hair

I've been looking at loose Super Gals figures for the past couple of weeks. But I've been hesitant to bid on them because of the unkept hair. Is there a trick to fixing the hair so that it stays straight and doesn't get all Taylor Dane-like? Barbie's hair never looked this bad over the years.

You should see the hair on some of my Barbies. Not only is it tangled, it developed a weird texture over the years. Maybe it just needs cleaned.
Ant had posted a good technique to fix Mego hair. I'm doing the best I can to recall, but if I leave anything out, feel free to correct me.
    1. Wash it with a gentle detergent.
    2. Mix one part water and either 5 or 10 parts fabric softener and soak the head in that.
    3. Detangle the hair gently.
    4. Switch the ratio(1 part softener to 5/10 parts water) and soak the head in that.
I don't recall if you need to rinse the head with pure water or not.
I like to use a toothbrush to help loosen the tangles. It doesn't pull out as much hair as a comb or doll brush tends to do.
Don't forget to put it in a Mego flip! I've seen people use small rollers, foil, etc to get the right shape. You can set the hair by boiling water, removing it from the heat, and dipping the head in briefly. At least I've never had any problems with the hair getting damaged that way.
Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

    Check out my customs!
