    T2 Monster Question??

ive been playing around forever with trying to get both sets of the T2 Monsters, Mego and the Mego/Lion Rock/Toys r Us.

the only info i saw on the galleries is about the difference in hands. anyone know any other variations in the two releases?

or have pics of any T2 versions in your own collection? i would really like to nail this down one day...they come around so slow that i may figure it out by the retirement home.

For the LR t2 Monsters, there are paler vinyl colors used for the heads. Frankenstein may have different, blockier boots--I saw those posted here but it was a loose figure.

There are some costume differences, too: I've seen Drac capes with white plastic snaps, and I think the museum gallery indicates that the LR Wolfman had longer brown fur trim on his tunic.

I've never quite figured out the t2 hands variations, they're often discussed, but without pix.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Lion Rock have boot variations for both Wolfman and Frankenstein. I've actually had both...but unfortunately they are gone and I never took pics of the variation. Also had the plastic snap variation at the last Mego Meet in Skokie and it went into the collection of MegoGeek. I have a Drac I got recently that has a different skin tone to the regular version of Drac. It is a T2 and when I tried to clean him up a little his eyeball fell right out of its socket. That's another trait of the later T2's. I have a couple of T2 heads of Drac and Frankie that have no eyeballs. A lot more squishy than the regular T 1's. There are 3 or 4 variations on Wolfman's outfit when it comes to t1 to T2 transition. Also, the Lion Rocks also have plastic snaps on Frankie and Mummy.

I'm looking for LR heads, I have a Frankie. I didn't realize the eyes were fragile. I had a (damaged) LR Mummy head , it was molded in a light beige vinyl.

For LR Wolfman, is the head cast in fleshtone like the earlier releases?

The LR hands are the regular T2 Mego hands just in glow plastic. The Mego T2 Monsters have unique hands with spread fingers. Nether set has hairy hands for the Wolfman.

The LR Wolfman and Frankstein share the same boots which are unique to them. They do not come with boots the T1 or T2 Mego Monsters used.

Great pix, I've never seen these in person or for sale. In fact, my solid-box t2 Frankenstein--straight from the bag--had standard t2 hands, so I've been confused all these years.

Mego T2 vs Lionrock Frank. The LR head is very white and very squishy.

                      Here's a Lionrock group shot.

The Mummy's head is molded in sort of a beige. Dracula's cape is a stiffer fabric than the Mego cape.

I was really into these guys at one point and had these pics in my gallery - I am sorry that the one with the bunch is not so good. I have since found a Dracula with a snap cape.

Neat, you don't often see that many versions of Mad Monsters lined up like that.
