is this trimmed? andorian help

[IMG][/IMG] i picked up a set of minty loose mego trek aliens, the front piece of material used on this andorian tunic is a bit shorter than the piece used for the back. i'm wondering if this is a factory error or if this looks trimmed to anyone? there is one toy website where the andorian in their pictures has the same short fringe on the front. and i have seen my share of badly sewn mego clothes over the years. so i'm leaning towards factory error since this figure is in really top shape - it doesn't even have the usual belt stain, and shows little to no signs of the tunic edge fraying anywhere else. let me know what you think.
