Spanish MEGO/Poch Dealer Catalog

hi guys!

i am not very familiar with mego stuff, so i thought i'd turn to the mego community, in order to find some info.

i recently picked up a spanish poch dealer catalog because i simply thought the design was quite neat and also because poch is the spanish licensee of star wars toys (that's what i collect, mainly european stuff).

the catalog itself is from 1976 and carries a few other lines besides mego.

my question now would be, how rare is this piece? (considering it from the star wars point of view i'd guess it's freaking rare, due to poch star wars items being incredibly rare)

and another question would be, what this item would be worth? i am guessing that here are also a few guys looking for foreign paper material.

i'd mainly like to try to find some info right now. have any others turned up so far?

if i'd let this one go, i will let you know though. i'll try to take some more pics soon to upload them.

i wonder if there's any chance to trade this one for a poch catalog which contains any star wars material.

I think as far as catalogs go this one would fetch a decent amount. Any of the actual boxed figures show up? I wonder if they differ with spanish writing on them.

sorry! no boxed figures! i will check though if i can come up with any of that stuff when i keep a look out for spanish star wars stuff. i mainly collect vintage star wars, so the spanish catalog was just a nice thing to pick up along the way!

i have read a few articles on megomuseum.com regarding boxed and carded figures and i always read, that the spanish stuff is either unconfirmed or really rare?!

Some closer shots would be great. I can the Western line has the U.S. boxes. Does that mean Poch only did the different boxes for certain years or perhaps the catalogue simply shows U.S. boxes when the toys were released differently?

i will be back with more details and pics in about 2 weeks. i don't have the catalog at hand right now, since i am on holday and i left it at the office.

can someone in the meantime shed some light on the following questions?

-have other poch catalogs shown up? especially ones that contain mego AND star wars?

-what's a ballpoint figure i could put on this catalog if i were to sell

Its hard to put a price on it. I've seen Mexican Ledy catalogs which are rare also, sell for as little as $30. And Palitoy and Baravelli catalogs sell for around $100 just recently on ebay. There are some US catalogs that used to fetch $200-250 but the price has dropped and now are closer to $100. I think the Poch would sell in that range, unless two people that wanted it got into a bidding war.
