Loose Ankle and graying skin question...

H there! Just receive a T1 Mr. Mixy from an auction I won...and noticed that his left ankle is somewhat loose....is there a way to tighten the rivet?

Secondly, he seems to have gray spots on his neck and face...is there a way to remove this graying? And is this the same sort of graying I have seen on ENTIRE faces on some mego dolls?? Thanks!

My buddy Megotu showed me a way of tightening loose Mego joints.

First thing, get some Elmers WHITE glue and put it in the joint....

When it starts to harden, keep working the joint over and over.

Do this a few times if necessary...

I had some pretty good results.

Just make sure you work those joints while it's hardening.

Also,
Only use Elmers's White glue.
If you use anything else, you'll ruin it.

I thought about it for a while and figured that the glue would simply help to create resistance in the joint, no? So as I was mending the Mixy costume...I took a piece of flesh coloured thread, and began to wrap the thread within the joint. And the mego Type 1 joints provide a perfect resiovoir for the thread to "catch"....I just used a 20cm piece of thread and immediately noticed that the thread built up enough resistance within the joint to make it stiffer. Try it out!!
