Mego Bat Shield ?

With FTC planning on Batman '66 accessories including a Bat Shield I was wondering about this item. I bought here it from a member back when I joined and was wondering about it's origins. Anyone know anything about it?

Its a nice custom. I was thinking of making one, but never did and then saw the FTC announcement, so I dropped the idea.

I'm pretty certain this item came from Bobby Horne(forum id: that BatGuy). You used to put up beautiful bat-emblems/belts and such up for sale here and on ebay. He sort of disappeared a while back though.
