T1 Batman vs. T2 Batman general questions.

Hi all,
I'm sure these facts are somewhere, but I can't find definitive answers, so I figured this is what the forums are for.

I'm aware of all the main differences between a T1 and T2 Batman (Metal joints, date on back, etc...), but there are a couple specifics I'm unsure of:

Should all T1 Batman outfits have the nylon (or sometimes referred to as "silky" shorts), or is this exclusive to the removable cowl Batman only? Can a legit T1 have the shorts that are made of the material from the rest of the outfit (like on a T2)?

Can a T1 Batman also have the darker blue cape? I know the RC Batman should never have it, but not sure about T1...
